Description
We invite applications for the position of Full-Time Professor in Industrial Engineering (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor), preferably with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications focused on improving production processes. Ideal candidates will apply methodologies to optimize supply chain management, logistics, data analysis, or operational excellence (with a focus on Quality). The role requires driving high-impact research, obtaining competitive funding, and delivering exceptional teaching into undergraduate and graduate programs.
Requirements
Leadership in Research in Industrial Engineering
- Publish in high-impact journals in Industrial Engineering and possess management skills and obtain national and international funding.
Excellence in Teaching in Industrial Engineering
- Design and teach innovative courses that integrate AI (machine learning, optimization, predictive analytics) in industrial engineering (logistics, operations research, and quality).
- Guide students through practical projects, challenges related to industrial engineering topics, and laboratory work.
Student Supervision
- Lead Master's and PhD projects in a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
Collaboration with Industry
- Establish partnerships with companies and government agencies to apply research to improve production processes and co-develop practical solutions.
Requirements
- Academic Background
- A PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields. (University - Top 100 QS Ranking)
Industry experience will be considered an advantage. - Research Experience
- A proven track record of publications in high-impact journals in Industrial Engineering.
Teaching Experience
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching industrial engineering topics.
Language and Communication - Professional English proficiency (minimum B2/TOEFL 550).
Commitment to achieving an intermediate level of Spanish (B1) within two years.
Leadership
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams on projects in Industrial Engineering and collaborating with industrial partners is preferred.
