Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for open-rank (assistant, associate, or full professor level) tenure-track, full-time faculty positions. Qualified candidates will be considered at all levels. Applications are encouraged from applicants whose degrees and research programs are in disciplinary areas as well as cross-cutting interdisciplinary areas of electrical and computer engineering. In particular, the department is interested in receiving applications from candidates with expertise in the following areas: RF/mmWave Integrated Circuits and Systems; Integration of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Design; Energy Infrastructure and the Energy/Compute Nexus; Quantum Computing and Systems; and Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Additionally, applicants with expertise that aligns with either of the two campus-wide strategic hiring initiatives in which the ECE Department is participating can indicate that in their applications. These two additional positions are in the following fields: Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications of Digital Transformation and Leveraging 7T MRI for Brain Health and Precision Medicine.
